Reddit has finally proven its worth by protecting the world from a commercial so bad that it caused a backlash before release to the public.
Samsung assembled this hilariously bad collection of poorly imagined stereo-types in order to sell their ridiculously easy to install SSD, the 840 EVO. So easy to install that a housewife could perform the upgrade, in-between doing her chores of course, according to Samsung’s entry into the Worst Ad in History competition.
The product was always going to be a hard sell, trying to convince the world that it could do its own SSD upgrades? A beautiful dream but I would hate to be the helpline worker when things go wrong.

Samsung has been developing plastic display technology based on flexible plastic substrates for a number of years, as have many display manufacturers. On show at the moment are the latest OLED displays built on to plastic substrates. This technology will also be on show during the upcoming expo season starting with CES in Las Vegas, January 2013.

UFO Flotilla or fleets have become a more frequently occurring phenomenon recently. With major sightings around the world in the last six months you might get the impression someone is showing off their new toys.
Flotilla usually consist of groups of small luminous spheres or orbs, that often number in the hundreds, drifting through the sky silently. Sometimes accompanied by disc shaped UFO’s the Flotilla move in synchronised patterns, perhaps a super high-tech take on the UAV, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. Often a shocking sight to behold the first time you are introduced, hundreds of strange craft moving in unison.
Selected for your viewing pleasure are three of the most shocking Flotilla videos currently available. NASA footage of a fleet re-entering the atmosphere along with a most unusual small fleet of orbs seen over Fukushima and the video that started it all, Guadalajara Mexico, 2004.

Samsung may have been disappointed by the reaction to their release of the Smart Media Hub DVD drive last year. No matter the reason they have released an updated drive with a slight name change and better software, producing the Optical Smart Hub SE-208BW – OSH -. Samsung may have realised that many people missed the point of the device when first released this time last year.
The Optical Smart Hub is a mini convergence device that tries to be many things to many people. By adding a Network chipset and USB functions to what is a seemingly ordinary external Optical Disk Drive – ODD – Samsung have created a new type of utility device, the Swiss Army Knife of external DVD’s. With the addition of a few chips Samsung have created a compact device that can perform network storage, backup, Wi-Fi hub, and media streaming functions with the press of a button.
As an external USB DVD – no Blu-Ray options here – it can do all of the standard duties, play back, record and generally spinning disks when connected to a PC via the USB. In this configuration the OSH acts just as any external DVD would. The twist comes when the Wi-Fi and Network functions are enabled.
