The rumour mill has been sent spinning at full speed once again, set alight by a series of pictures that appear to depict the controller for the soon to be released PlayStation 4. While a multitude of PS4 controller pictures have appeared in recent days the observant will have noticed two distinctly different controllers have been captured.
The initial picture that set chins wagging was published by Destructoid and appeared to be the prototype controller. This image spread quickly to a world hungry for PS4 facts. A second picture surfaced shortly after the first and appeared to be the finalised controller, sleek and simple in keeping with its DualShock heritage.
Sony nailed the controller from day one of the Playstation family, the latest DualShock looks to continue to build upon its families rich heritage while also delivering a high tech face lift.

The rumour mill has been working overtime this week with snippets of information regarding the next generation Playstation and Xbox whirling through the electronic ether. While an official release date for both consoles is still to be announced the event to announce the release date has firmed up along with technical specifications.
Both consoles are due for release in the second half of this year (2013) with hardware produced by AMD. While they will use the same supplier they have both taken very different approaches. This time around the roles have been reversed, Sony’s PS4 will be very PC like internally (think original Xbox) while Microsoft has a radical dual APU design up its sleeve.

With 2012 well underway Sony has sent the rumour mill spinning at top speed. News of their next generation PlayStation 4, code name Orbis, the cause of the stir.
Capturing much attention is the talk of 4k gaming, gaming at the screen shattering resolution of 4096*2160. All signs are pointing to a Q4 2013 release of the console, with word from developers indicating dev kits have already been made available to some developers.
The draconian measures planned to stop second hand games re-sales are highly controversial, Sony refusing to comment on unreleased products, the decision still not set in stone we believe. As always won’t someone think of the children.
