According to website MotorTrend the first Juke-R has left the production line and is ready for delivery. For a short while this first in line shopper will be the member of a very exclusive club, driver of the only road ready Juke-R, anywhere.
With a number of modifications since its initial build the Juke-R is now even faster and more extreme than the original concept car. This is a real concept car come to life, after the initial demonstrations in Dubai there was enough interest to convince Nissan to allow limited production. Now the Juke-R is built to order for serious buyers. The unknown buyer of the first car has paid the breath-taking sum of $650,000 for the privilege.
The Nissan pocket rocket inherits some interesting heritage. The engine, gearbox and transmission donated generously from the Nissan 2012 GTR, somehow this is squeezed into a body based on the Nissan Juke (Micra). The resulting Juke-R is simply an incredible engineering feat.

Bursting onto the motorsports scene in January the Juke-R was seen for the first time in the lead up to the Dubai 24 hour classic. Combining the heart of a GT-R, twin turbo V6 and 4WD transmission, with the body of a city car the Juke-R instantly caught the public’s attention. Intended to be a concept car only, Nissan was forced to rethink the cars status after an incredible response to the first Juke-R’s appearance.

Nissan has always produced highly modifiable cars, intentional or not their cars have been hugely popular with drifters and street races, once duly modified. Now Nissan has beaten everyone to the punch and produced what they describe as the world’s fastest cross-over, the Juke-R is actually the world’s most extreme hot hatch.
The Juke was released in 2010, with its unusual looks and very useable interior it won a lot of friends. Being a cross-over it combines the qualities of an sports off-roader with the size and shape of a hatchback. While the plain vanilla Juke may be an interesting curio Nissan has constructed something very special with its Juke-R. Wanting to prove the point Nissan has even released a video of the Juke-R racing three other super-cars. – see below -.
Dressed in black carbon fibre the Juke-R is the standard Jukes evil twin. A smoking hot hatch in the greatest tradition of mental cars. This is no ordinary hot hatchback mind you, with a Nissan GT-R’s engine, transmission and four wheel drive somehow shoe horned into the Jukes body. Part Juke part Godzilla, this is the Jukezilla.
