“My visit is shaping up to be wild. We’re coming down and doing a ton of different things during my visit, and, I’m not just there for the World Tour. I’m also racing in WRC Australia the following week. I can’t wait, it’s going to be a very fun couple of weeks for me.”, Ken Block.
SOLD OUT! Monsters’ Gymkhana World Tour spectacular is approaching Australia fast, the count down to September 3 is well underway. Those lucky enough to win tickets to the one-off show are in for a big night of extreme Monster behaviour. The Ford Fiesta thrashed around Universal studio’s in Gymkhana 4 will be joining Block for the show. Monster Energy Australia have been working hard to make the Australian show special, a true one-off. Ken Block is the sort of driver that other rally drivers love to hate. After shooting to YouTube stardom with his Gymkhana – extreme driving video’s – then stepping into a rally car in which he now consistently finishes in the top five. Block’s previous life is even more astounding!
The founder of uber-succesful brand DC Shoes, Block is a multidimensional driven bloke who is seemingly unstoppable. There is more to Ken Block than just grinning behind the wheel of an extreme rally car while driving sideways, sideways then more sideways. Ken Blocks story is a tale of the kid from the block working his ass off and making it good. He’d started his first company while he was still in community college and has just never stopped.

Chevy 2012 Corvette Centennial package
Chevrolet the old girl of American Auto is 100 years old this very year. To celebrate and bring back that youthful feeling – late midlife crisis ? – Chevy is releasing the Centennial Edition Z06. The Centennial Package itself can be applied to all of the current Z06 models, all the way up to the King of the Hill ZR1.
No price has been released for the upgrade as of yet. To keep the party spirit going Chevy auctioned a Silk Black Centennial Corvette through Barrett-Jackson Auctions, who auctioned it off for charity, it sold for $175,000 USD
The Centennial Package brings together parts from previous option packs and some special parts from the next vette the Z07. It’s sort of like a best of compilation to celebrate. Carbon is used extensively, rockers covers, front splitter, roof and raised hood. Performance upgrades include Brembo ceramic brakes, Magnetic Ride Control. Tech include Heads up Display, Bluetooth hands free and Bose stereo. Lots of leather over heated seats finishes it off.
