The Corvette Stingray was one of the first and is still one of the most legendary American sports cars. Blending European curves with American muscle the Vette held a special place in the hearts of many motoring enthusiasts around the world. The sumptuous curves and big block V8 muscle have made the Stingray an object of desire for many years but the latest 2019 incarnation of the Stingray may be the last of the front engine Corvette’s with Chevrolet experimenting with a mid-engine hypercar style in 2020, a change that will forever alter the Vette as we know it.
GM introduced the world to the 2019 ZR1 in Dubai this week, with aggressive aero and styling, re-engineered mechanics from front to back and improved cooling this is a track ready daily driver that will take on the best that Italy and Germany have to offer. Rumours are also swirling around the internet that Chevy is readying the C08 mid-engine Corvette to take on the best that Europe has to offer. Will this mean the end of the Stingray as we know it or will Chevy surprise us all?

Chevrolet has promised something big for Corvette fans during next week’s New York motor show. Not only is the already announced 2015 Stingray Z06 generating a buzz with its eye catching lines and new power plant but a new variant of the seminal American muscle car will also be revealed to the world.
Happily spoiling their own surprise Chevrolet has revealed a week early that the new Corvette variant is a convertible, the Corvette Stingray Convertible. Happy in the knowledge that seeing the car in real life will still generate wow moments Chevrolet has released specifications and a series of sumptuous preview photos of the new car.

Chevy 2012 Corvette Centennial package
Chevrolet the old girl of American Auto is 100 years old this very year. To celebrate and bring back that youthful feeling – late midlife crisis ? – Chevy is releasing the Centennial Edition Z06. The Centennial Package itself can be applied to all of the current Z06 models, all the way up to the King of the Hill ZR1.
No price has been released for the upgrade as of yet. To keep the party spirit going Chevy auctioned a Silk Black Centennial Corvette through Barrett-Jackson Auctions, who auctioned it off for charity, it sold for $175,000 USD
The Centennial Package brings together parts from previous option packs and some special parts from the next vette the Z07. It’s sort of like a best of compilation to celebrate. Carbon is used extensively, rockers covers, front splitter, roof and raised hood. Performance upgrades include Brembo ceramic brakes, Magnetic Ride Control. Tech include Heads up Display, Bluetooth hands free and Bose stereo. Lots of leather over heated seats finishes it off.
