An All-In-One with a difference the Smart AIO 72P series features Android on the inside, with Google Play available to provide all of your favourite apps and games. Transforming at the flick of a switch to an IPS monitor for any HDMI, MHL or VGA device; PC, console, set top box, mobile and tablet.

Two models have been released by AOC, at $429 for the 22 inch model is the value model, while the 24 is the performance model, available for $499 AUD. Both models are bringing Android to a monitor near you.

Google Moves from Android OS to Android Robotics. Say Hello To My Little Friend the Google Bot…

Andy Rubin, one of the brains behind Android has a new project to occupy his time. Moving from Android for smart phones to Androids for us, real robotic androids. Having resigned from his post heading Android OS development Andy is now heading up Google’s push to make robots a reality.

Google’s plans were revealed during a recent interview with the New York Times, plans that should see robots move from the labs of the world to factories everywhere.

This is no plan to take over Christmas with cute toy robots, the might G is going industrial, planning to turn manufacturing and logistics on its head. Is Google tired of waiting for robotics to happen or have they spotted an opportunity?

The Google Nexus 10 preview, a windy introduction…

Samsung and Google’s latest lovechild, the Nexus 10 is a tablet so sleek the iPad is said to have a crush on it. Pictures and a video of the latest Nexus tablet have appeared via website BriefMobile, setting the tech world abuzz.

This may also be partially due to Google postponing the October 29 launch event thanks in no small part to hurricane Sandy. With no new date yet announced for the official event we will have to make do with these little morsels of news till the official event.

The Nexus 10 is set to become the new benchmark for 10 inch tablets, a sock lifter. The sort of tablet that makes everyone else try harder, lift up their socks.

The Tablet Wars Twist And Turn. Apple, Samsung, ASUS, Acer And The Rest Of The Gang…

Since the days of Moses Tablets have been an important tool for recording and sharing information. Sure Moses used his tablet with an iron stylus and hammer, his tablet was made of stone after-all. Strangely enough the purpose was the same whether stone or silicon, its all about information and connecting with people.

A few quick statistics. Worldwide tablet sales for Q3 2011, Apple 11 million, Samsung 1 million, HP 903,000. The Amazon Kindle has sold over 6million units in its short life so far. Android currently owns 42% of the US market, Gartner research expects Android to surpass Apples iPad in market share within the next two years.

IDC is forecasting that tablet sales will be in the hundreds of millions by 2016, they mustn’t think much of Windows tablets though, as they also quote 2016 as the year they pass 1million sales a year. Not great for the mighty Microsoft but great for Android and iPad tablets. Retailers are also overjoyed with the incredible growth in the tablet market, you could easily get the feeling they are the only thing keeping cash registers going ca-ching at the moment.
