Not for the Faint Hearted, Who’d be a Sea Captain in 60 Foot Waves and Gale Force Winds…

Footage has recently made its way onto the internet that depicts a ship struggling through troubled waters. Filmed from the ships bridge as the captain works his way through the mountainous waves, the video should probably include a nausea warning.

The massive sea storm off the south coast of Ireland brought with it gale force winds that whipped up monster 60 foot waves. In this extreme environment one captain with nerves of steel calmly steers his ship through the storm, powering directly at and over the waves.

At times the waves completely fill your vision, blocking out any sign of the horizon. All the time the little ship that could just keeps chugging along, seeming to clamber up the waves.
