The future as depicted by the movie Back to the Future continues to become a reality; if the internet is to be believed. The latest video to get the internet buzzing appears to demonstrate Marty McFly’s hoverboard in action, as demonstrated by Tony Hawk and friends.

Marty McFly’s hoverboard is one of the most memorable props from the series, possibly one of the most memorable of the 80’s. This only makes the transition from fiction to reality even more spectacular. Will we soon all be zooming along effortlessly on completely frictionless transportation?

Presented for your viewing pleasure is the video that appears to be bringing our high tech dreams to life, science fiction fantasies materialized. Sit back, relax and let the arguing begin.

Is the video real or a fake?

The only information about the HUVr Board at the moment is presented by the HUVr website, also the company behind the video. On the site lofty claims are made; MIT graduates, experts in electronics and magnetism, even claiming to have cracked the secrets to anti-gravity. Breaking the code to anti-gravity would be a very great surprise to the world’s scientific community.

Updated. The Huvrboard Experiment, FunnyOrDie’s Back to the Future II Hoverboard Fake Video….

Until a product hits the shelves this one is far too good to be true, never a good sign. Here at Highpants we think the anti-gravity claim is the give-away, a claim just a little too far. The fact the video is called Belief seems a little on the odd side as well.

The only question remaining is what product are they really selling? Is a new Back to the Future movie in the works?
