Diablo 3 Preview, The Darkness Draws Near…

In the build-up to Diablo 3’s imminent release and the battle against evil that will surely ensue, a new video has been released. Along with Blizzards TV spot or commercial, in old school terms, we also have an amazing Diablo themed anime depicting the battle of light and dark that is Diablo. The last installment of Darkness Falls, Hero’s Rise promotion for the new RPG (Role Playing Game) wonder Blizzard has pulled out all of the stops for this one.

Once again set in Sanctuary, the world of Diablo is a dark fantasy world sure to horrify as it slowly drags you in with its vice like grip. The action is fast paced and tense, keeping you on the edge of your seat.

The first two Diablo games established this franchise as the leading immersive role playing games, of the isometric kind. The gameplay is of course set in an Isometric birds eye view of the world. Blizzard is introducing new graphics and physics engines with Diablo III both of which have been hand crafted in-house to guaranteed smooth gameplay even on pre Direct X 10 hardware.

Twenty years have passed since the Prime Evils were defeated and banished from the world of Sanctuary. Now, you must return to where it all began – the town of Tristram – and investigate rumours of a fallen star, for this is the first sign of evil’s rebirth, and an omen that the End Times have begun.

Multi-player action is handled through the Battle.net servers, while the requirement to stay connected to the internet to play, even in single player mode, will cause controversy.

The quick open Beta has come and gone, April 20 and 23, it is time for Blizzard to power up the servers and bring Diablo III to life. Set to be released May 15 its time to buckle up for some swards and sorcery , Evil is in its prime once again. With gorgeous graphics, incredible action sequences Diablo III is sure to become the latest time machine that disappears entire blocks of your life.
