Mike Judge the creative mind behind Office Space has joined forces with HBO to produce a new comedy to tempt us to spare them a little viewing time. Silicon Valley the sitcom gives us a humorous peak into the world of the of the Silicon Valley start-up.

Reminiscent of the English comedy The IT Crowd with just a dash of Beavis and Butthead along with a twist of Office Space thrown in just for giggles, Silicon Valley may just be the next gold rush of the comedy kind for HBO.

The Walking Dead in New York, Season 4 of the Apocalypse Continues…

AMC’s hit show The Walking Dead is set to return this week and to celebrate the highly anticipated continuation of terror the show’s producers organized a surprise for New York.

Awaiting early morning commuters in streets of the big apple, hidden just barely out of sight were hoards of ferociously hungry zombies. Here at Highpants we welcome any sign of the impending apocalypse that is the second half of season 4. Can anyone survive life on the road one more time?

Bad Signs, When Sign Language Goes Bad…

Helping the hearing impaired join in on the metaphoric conversation is an important task, sign language interpreters, like all interpreters, have a hefty responsibility.

At this week’s funeral for the incredible man Nelson Mandela one interpreter went rogue, with arms flailing wildly interpreter Thamsanqa Jantjie single handily made the deaf community throw up its arms in disgust.

Presented for your viewing pleasure is the Jimmy Kimmel translation of sign language gone bad. A display that may leave you torn between moral outrage and outrageous laughter. Obviously Thamsanqa is in the wrong business, this man should be in comedy.

Sony Entertainment has stoked the publicity fires in the build up to the release of the Breaking Bad box set, like throwing petrol on a fire messing with an ending is dangerous stuff. This ending however dares to take Breaking Bad in a whole new direction, and wins by making that direction hilarious.

Combining two of his favourite roles Bryan Cranston revels in this chance to see worlds collide, a collision that doesn’t often end well as proven by mash-ups. This alternative ending though is one of those rare gems that works, and works well.

The IT Crowd Returns for One More Show, One Last Byte…

When the world seems to be throwing you a frown or if it’s been a long day and you’re in need of a laugh the IT Crowd has always delivered us from less hilarious aspects of life.

Now after 4 seasons of hilarity Roy, Moss and Jen return to the small screen for The Last Byte, the final episode of The IT Crowd.  Everyone’s favorite view of the IT world from the inside says goodbye and farewell.

Presented for your viewing pleasure is the final episode of one of Highpants’ favorite funny show. Be sure to stock up on popcorn and get comfortable for there will be no leaving your seat once the play button has been hit; there are no slow moments in this finale.

The Simpson Guy: The Family Guy and Simpsons Crossover Episode…

Fans of the Simpsons and Family Guy should get set for the greatest double reverse cameo crossover episode of all time when the Family Guy hosts TV’s original funny family the Simpsons. The Simpsons Guy episode is set to air in 2014, while it will be an episode of the Family Guy it will be in Homers hometown of Springfield as both families get to know each other.

According to Fox, the Family Guy characters will quickly bond with their Simpsons counterparts. Peter (Seth MacFarlane) and Homer will debate whether Pawtucket or Duff is the best beer, Stewie (MacFarlane) will be quite taken with Bart’s prankster ways, Lisa will take Meg (Mila Kunis) under her wing to find something the young Griffin is good at, and Lois (Alex Borstein) and Marge will ditch housework together.

Both episodes are of course produced by Fox, with a number of small crossover appearances already happening on both shows. Most recently Seth MacFarlane guest starred on the Simpsons, providing the voice for Ben, a charming married man who met Marge online when she accidentally signs up for an online dating agency.

Adult Wolf by Jack Black, When Teen Wolves Go Bad…

Jack Black is back, bringing laughs a plenty with Adult Wolf, a parody movie trailer for the follow up to the 80’s comedy hit Teen Wolf. The teen cult classic stared Michael J. Fox as the original basketball playing werewolf Scott Howard.

Skip thirty years into the future and we find Scott and his father Harold living in a trailer having hit hard times. Down on his luck Scott has no job, no girlfriend and one very annoying roommate.  Over the thirty years since the original Scott has transformed into a hairy Jack Black, having lost his ability to transform into his human form could life get any wore for everyone’s favorite slam dunking werewolf.

Adult Wolf sees Black team up with old buddy Kyle Glass, the two generations of Howard are joined by John C. McGinley, Rachel Bilson, Ed Begley Jr. and Jimmy Kimmel’s Live show team to tell the tale of this young teen wolf who had everything but lost it all.

Futurama has been Cancelled, Again!…

Futurama has been cancelled. A twisted little tale of the future as seen through the eyes of a group of package delivering misfits, misfits that won our hearts. The team from Planet Express is now packing boxes.

After being cancelled the first time in 2003 a series of direct to DVD movies were produced. The movies proved so popular that Comedy Central brought the show back and it was better than ever. Now Comedy Central has decided not to renew Futurama and the final curtail will (once again) fall, at the end of the current 7th season.
