For many years Mario Kart fans who visit Tokyo have been able to live their dream by taking a tour of Akihabara in go carts dressed as their favourite character from the game. Sadly, the hilarious and totally legal way of seeing the sights of Tokyo run by MariCar has lost the latest legal battle with Nintendo.
It used to be that the only guarantees in life were death and taxes, but in this high-tech world we can add the march of technology and internet rumours to this list. Rumours of the next generation PlayStation have been especially abundant in recent months and they are painting a very interesting picture. With far more continuity between generations it is looking like Sony’s move to AMD for the PS4 is starting to pay off for everyone. Will this be a case of evolution being better than a revolution? Will the console wars switch tracks and be won by the dark horse Nintendo? Can anyone believe it’s been so long since the last GTA game?

These changes have seen the rise of a new type of internet, the deep web and the dark web. With the rise of these new webs a new name was given to first web, it is now known as the Surface Web. To clear up any confusion here is how you tell them apart.
Confusing the lyrics of a song that you love is a common enough experience. Switching the odd word here or there for a similar sounding lyric is simply a humorous accident. Rarely however do we mix up absolutely every word of a song and even more rare is the performing of this hilarious disaster on national television while completely convinced that you are singing the song as it was intended. The Assistance and Access Bill 2018, better known as the Ass Access Bill, is a piece of legislation before the Australian Parliament that proposes to provide a way for the Australian Government to gain access to data that has previously been hidden by encryption. This is intended to provide law enforcement and other agencies a doorway into your private data. The department of Home Affairs have gone to great pains to emphasise that this is not a legislated backdoor to your devices, and they are technically correct. It is probably better described as a side door into your data.

Retro gaming is all the rage at the moment, and while Sony may be late to the retro game it has turned up to a knife fight with a 44 magnum. Mind you turning up well armed when going to war with Nintendo is not a bad strategy.
The PlayStation Classic is Sony’s latest weapon in the console wars and this mini marvel will be packing 20 games pre-loaded and ready to rumble. Only 5 of games have been officially announced thus far; Final Fantasy VII, Jumping Flash, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3 and Wild Arms. The number of wish lists floating around the web is evidence that it is already working. Here at Highpants we have just one wish, Gran Tourismo.

These two new models will herald the beginning of a new war for supremacy in the pro camera market, no longer will Sony have this market virtually to itself.
