NASA SDO, Three Years Staring at the Sun…

After three years staring at the Sun SDO (Solar Dynamics Observatory) has taken a second to blink and in that blink of an eye NASA created ‘Three Years of Sun in Three Minutes.’ In three short minutes three years of the Suns life are condensed into this astounding video, the living breathing sun in action.

Futurama has been Cancelled, Again!…

Futurama has been cancelled. A twisted little tale of the future as seen through the eyes of a group of package delivering misfits, misfits that won our hearts. The team from Planet Express is now packing boxes.

After being cancelled the first time in 2003 a series of direct to DVD movies were produced. The movies proved so popular that Comedy Central brought the show back and it was better than ever. Now Comedy Central has decided not to renew Futurama and the final curtail will (once again) fall, at the end of the current 7th season.

Firefox gets Unreal, Epic Port Unreal Engine 3 to asm.js JavaScript…

Mozilla and Epic have teamed up to push browser technology to new levels. Putting Mozilla’s brand new asm.js JavaScript technology to good use by converting Unreal Engine 3 to the new flavour of JavaScript. Free of plug-ins or installation this latest version of Unreal Engine 3 runs natively in Firefox browsers, and it’s fast.

This new version of UE3 came to life during the Game Developers Conference, part proof of concept part technology demonstration this is a major milestone for browser technology, while also being an interesting journey.
