Hostamania: Hulk Hogan Body Slams WebHosting, Takes a Wrecking Ball to GoDaddy and Miley Cyrus…

Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan is preparing an all out assault on the world of web hosting. Runnin’ wild on the web Hogan’s company Hostamania is set to take on GoDaddy for a slice of the cloud.

Doing what he does best Hogan has already started to get the word out before the October 30 go live date. Starting off the campaign Hogan has released the first must see commercial for his new enterprise, and its gold.

Presented for your viewing pleasure is the commercial that (we may realize in years to come) kicked off an empire. Taking a swipe at GoDaddy and Miley Cyrus in one short clip is no small achievement, making us laugh the entire time, priceless. Be warned however, it is only natural to want to pluck out your eyeballs after such a sight, it will shock, scare and amuse all in 60 seconds flat…

Launching on the 30th of October Hostamania will be offering domain registration and web hosting with automated web site creation. The curious can sign up for the beta program now via Hostamania.com.

“Making a website has never been easy, but with Hostamania, I’m getting back in the ring to make sure that anyone can set up a site,” said Hulk Hogan. “I didn’t get to be the world champion by settling for anything but the best, so I’m very excited to have a great staff and some amazing technology in my corner. This is going to be huge, brother!”

Hulk Hogan has teamed up with Tech Assets Inc for Hostamania, together they will tag team the opposition. Tech Assets will provide the cloud hosting platform while Hogan will be responsible for charisma, and crushing the competitions mascots and spokesmen.

Tech Assets currently runs web hosting brands WPZilla, SendUser, WebIntellects, OpenSourceHost, APSpanel, Christian Web Host, ServFarm, DomainRegi and Jumpline.com. The entire portfolio hosts over 120,000 websites, with offices in Columbus, OH; St. Petersburg, FL; and San Diego, CA.

“Can you believe this, brother? They’ve got this little punk playing a rainbow flute on their homepage,” Hogan writes in a blog post last month. “How do you think a FLUTE is going to stand up to these 24 inch pythons? Weak mascots of the web hosting world – whatchu’ gonna do when HOSTAMANIA runs WILD on you?”

GoDaddy have recently used Jean Claude Van Damme (plus flute) in their commercials, Hogan has already put the challenge out by questioning the masculinity of the pan flute, will we see the return of Bloodsport with Hulk Hogan versus Van Damme? Not likely but the marketing machines are going to have a field day with this one.

Hopefully Hogan can shake things up a little; screaming loudly is just the beginning. Is this the craziest business idea ever or just crazy enough to work? Here at Highpants all we known is don’t go up against Hulk Hogan, he always has the crowd on his side.
