A New Russian Comet Lights up the Night Sky…

Driving on the snow covered roads of Russia is a tricky proposition at the best of times. Now it seems Russian drivers need to also watch out for flaming comets crossing their path. Last night, April 19, saw evidence of this as a flash of light crossed the sky above Murmansk Russia.

While not as large as last year’s comet that exploded over Chelyabinsk in February 2013 this latest comet was spectacular against the darkness of the night sky. The Murmansk comet lacked the shock wave and explosive sounds, suggesting that it was far smaller than the 2013 comet which was estimated to be 55 feet wide and 10,000 tonnes,. There have been no reports of injury or damage thus far.

Presented for your viewing pleasure is the latest brilliant flash of light to cross Russian skies, natures shock and awe in action once again. Also included is the stunning impact of the 2013 comet. Sit back, relax and let the cosmic show begin.
